Coming together and strengthening: This was our unforgettable team event 2023 in Tallinn

Our team event is not just about having fun, seeing each other physically (and not just via a display) and spending time together, but also about strengthening ourselves as a team and recharging our batteries for future challenges. After our events in Zurich and Milan in recent years, this is exactly what we achieved this year at our blueworks Nordics headquarters in Tallinn, Estonia. Having traveled from Switzerland and Germany, we spent an unforgettable time full of workshops, activities and shared experiences.

On Friday, our adventure began with a series of workshops that helped us understand each other better and align ourselves as a team. We immersed ourselves in “The Why and Strategy” to sharpen our shared vision and consolidate our goals for the coming years. Another workshop on the topic of “blue.works loves agile” enabled us to improve our agile methods and learn new techniques to work together even more effectively. And even to switch our project management tool from Microsoft Planner to SAP Cloud ALM. You’ll find out more about this in another article soon.

The workshops were supplemented by practical exercises in which we dealt intensively with requirements and user stories. These exercises helped us to improve our communication and ensure that we were all on the same level of knowledge. Afterwards, we had a retro in which we reflected on the day’s experiences and insights and celebrated our teamwork.

Team event brings fun

On Saturday it was time to celebrate even more and explore the beautiful city of Tallinn: Whether on foot, on e-scooters or on the boat 🙂

Our Saturdays began with an exciting sailing tour, during which we enjoyed the fresh sea air and the view of Tallinn. Afterwards, we had the opportunity to live out our creative side in a kind of workshop where we discovered our individual talents and inspired each other.

A ghost town tour took us into the historic alleyways of Tallinn, where we heard stories of times gone by and felt the unique atmosphere of this fascinating city. The highlight of the evening was the Celebration Night, where we not only had an unforgettable time, but were also awarded the “Redemption Angel”. This symbolic prize reminds us how important it is to learn through feedback and mistakes. Only in this way can each individual and we as blue.works continue to develop.

We were spoiled with delicious food throughout the event, both at lunchtime and in the evening. These culinary experiences not only provided a welcome break, but also strengthened us for the activities ahead. The fantastic menu in the evening was the perfect end to an eventful day and gave us the opportunity to chat in a relaxed atmosphere.

The blue.works team event in Tallinn was a complete success. We have realigned ourselves as a team, moved even closer together and armed ourselves with fresh energy for the challenges ahead.
