Focused Build and Insights now free.

After the stress for some regarding the backbone support network recently, there is encouraging news coming from SAP.

The Focused Build project management and Focused Insights dashboard add-ons to Solution Manager are now free, and have been since 1st Jan this year.  SAP has included them to their standard maintenance contract and will have neither licensing costs nor subscription limits. So if you were not a Focused Build or Insights user before, there is now no excuse not to benefit from their features.  If you already were, you can write off that expense at no loss to your SAP functionality.

Focused Build is a cutting-edge Requirements to Deploy (R2D) solution. It uses pre-configured standard SAP Solution Manager features and processes as well as additional build functions based on countless real-world case studies.  The lessons learnt by others all brought together to save you from the pitfalls or efficiencies others have navigated. You get a development system, quality system, and production system catering for your operations and business processes.  This translates as reduced costs and standardized processes and solutions

Meanwhile, Focused Insights is a dashboard (monitoring and reporting) tool that allows you to access 800+ KPIs relating to your workflow and tailored to 3 user categories: Operations for use by experts, Governance aimed at managers, and Strategic designed for executives. Easy and quick to set up and needing no coding, Focused Insights allows accessed information to be unified, aggregated or correlated.  It can show anything from the highly detailed to a broad overview of the entire system, using charts, reports, diagnoses and alerts, set up to reflect what is important to your company’s performance. Data can be realtime or historic.
