Our first SAP Community event this year: DSAG ALM Theme Days 2023
Our first SAP Community event this year was the DSAG ALM Theme Days in St. Leon-Roth. The two-day event, packed with SAP ALM knowledge, was organized by the German-speaking SAP User Group (DSAG). DSAG acts as a hub between user companies, service providers and SAP. An ideal place to get the latest information from the manufacturer, partners, best practices and testimonials from customer representatives such as Siemens AG, BMW Group, Piller Blowers & Compressors GmbH and others. With almost 200 visitors, it was a full house. blue.works was represented by ALM experts Piero and Stefan.
The two days were all about the “Future of SAP ALM”. After the welcome address by ALM working group spokesperson Johannes Hurst, Tim Steuer and Tonja Kehrer showed how the Business Transformation Suite with SAP Cloud ALM at its core meets the challenges of constant business transformation.
Of course, general ALM functions are not entirely new to us – but we gained valuable insights into SAP Signavio integration (for SAP Cloud ALM and the new adapter for SAP Solution Manager), process modeling and “Cloud Tricentis Test Automation for SAP”.
Thomas Henzler from Piller Blowers & Compressors GmbH showed that even if not everything is perfect yet, you can clearly see where the advantages of SAP Cloud ALM are for companies.
Process transparency is required to master current and future business challenges. IT and specialist departments need to move closer together and speak a common language. A shared process view is essential for this. This involves work and ALM and a Business Transformation Suite are not the sole savior, but they serve as a bridge builder for the SAP/IT department to master the challenge.
The second and final day of the DSAG ALM Theme Days offered further experience reports in short form and focused on future strategies for the secure migration and implementation of cloud ALM.
The speakers from SAP presented current roadmaps and details in the areas of SAP Cloud ALM for operations and implementation and generally on the switch to SAP Cloud ALM.
Our special thanks go to the organizers and all the speakers for the great preparation of the topics.
SAP Cloud ALM will also be expanded this year with many new functions to support companies on their transformation journey and to lay a foundation for process transparency.
And we have seen: The future is now and it is the right time to take the first steps with SAP Cloud ALM.
See you at the next ALM events!
